Justice for the Jena 6
Our history in this country is replete with similar racist abuses on the part of the criminal ?injustice? system such as the Scottsboro Boys, Hurricane Carter, Gary Tyler, Mumia Abu-Jamal, Genarow Wilson and too many others both known and unknown. Prosecutorial misconduct, inept legal representation and racist juries are common elements that have led tens of thousands of African-Americans into the prison industrial complex. The Jena 6 case must be seen in the overall context of the historical struggle to overhaul the US racist courts, corrupt police departments and inhumane prison systems. [more]
Anti-War Statement
BRC calls for total opposition to the war and for renewed resistance.
The War against the peoples of Iraq has started. This is one phase of the war for imperial dominance.
In simple terms this is barbarism. In legal terms this war is criminal. In moral
terms this war is immoral and in political terms this war stems from a social system that stands in the path of fulfilling the needs of human beings and preserving the wonders and balance of nature. [more]
